Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures using computed tomography (CT) technology. This role is crucial in providing accurate diagnostic evaluations that assist in patient care and treatment planning. The CT Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment, including Level I and Level II Trauma Centers, ER, and urgent care settings.
Duties
- Perform CT scans on patients as per physician orders, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and standards.
- Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations to assist in the identification of medical conditions.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of human anatomy to accurately position patients and equipment for optimal imaging results.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication regarding patient care.
- Ensure the proper functioning of CT equipment through routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort throughout the imaging process.
- Adhere to all regulatory guidelines related to medical imaging, including radiation safety measures.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current with advancements in diagnostic radiology, mammography, nuclear medicine, and other relevant fields.
Required Skills
- Experience with 1 of the following: GE, Hitachi, Phillips, Siemens or Toshiba required
- Abdomen/pelvis
- Chest -Head/neck
- Preparation/administration of contrast media
- Starting IVs
- Spine/musculoskeletal
- Computerized documentation
- Isolation precautions
- All ages neonate to older adult
- Inpatient and/or outpatient settings
Requirement Certifications
- 1 year recent experience in specialty
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ARRT
- Advanced ARRT
- CA CRT
- CT
