Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients and nursing staff, ensuring a high standard of care in various settings, including nursing homes, hospitals, and pediatric units. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for patients while assisting with daily activities and medical needs.
Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, particularly those with dementia or in pediatric care.
- Help with mobility and transportation of patients within the facility.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records (Epic) as required.
- Assist in phlebotomy tasks when necessary, under the supervision of qualified personnel.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in patient care or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of physiology and basic medical terminology is beneficial.
- Experience or training in dementia care, pediatrics, or nursing home environments is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while providing excellent patient service.
- Must be able to pass relevant background checks and adhere to health regulations.
Requirements
- 1 year of CNA experience (Certified Nurse Assistant)
- Diploma or Certificate of you CNA Schooling is required
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- Will float down to sitter when needed
