Job Summary
We’re seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist (NICU RRT) to join our per diem healthcare team in an acute hospital setting. This role focuses on providing advanced respiratory care to neonatal and adult patients. The ideal candidate will bring a strong clinical background, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work in fast-paced environments. You’ll collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate respiratory function.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient condition.
- Perform airway management procedures for patients in need.
- Provide emergency care as necessary, including basic life support.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory health and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care delivery.
Skills
- Proficient in medication administration techniques.
- Strong knowledge of basic life support protocols.
- Excellent patient assessment skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with emergency medicine practices.
- Understanding of medical terminology relevant to respiratory therapy.
- Experience in clinic and outpatient settings preferred.
- Competence in airway management procedures.
- Ability to monitor and interpret vital signs effectively.
Skills
- 1 year minimum of NICU experience
- NBRC License (preferred)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- NRP
