Overview
The Telemetry Nurse plays a crucial role in monitoring patients’ vital signs and providing critical care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This position requires a keen understanding of medical terminology and the ability to interpret telemetry data effectively. Telemetry Nurses work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care, particularly for those with cardiac conditions or other acute health issues.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data to assess patients’ heart rhythms and vital signs.
- Administer injections and perform physical examinations as required.
- Provide care for patients in various settings, including nursing homes, long-term care facilities, and acute care environments.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, especially those with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of all assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment.
- Educate patients and their families about health management, medication administration, and lifestyle modifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures while providing care.
Location: Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Orange County!
Requirements:
- Up to date State RN License
- Recent Telemetry experience: 1 year (Required)
- Ability to float to less or like specialties where needed and qualified
- Certificates: BLS, ACLS and NIH
Physical Setting:
- Acute Hospital setting
- Shift: Day and Night available
