Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our NICU (RRT-NICU) healthcare team. The ideal RRT-NICU candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in various settings, including hospitals and critical care units.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine respiratory needs and develop appropriate care plans.
- Administer prescribed medications and therapies, including oxygen therapy and nebulization treatments.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes using medical terminology.
- Participate in emergency response situations, utilizing basic life support skills when necessary.
- Work effectively in various hospital settings, including Level I and Level II Trauma Centers and ICU environments.
Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in the state of practice.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to respiratory care.
- Proficiency in performing patient assessments and interpreting vital signs.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to providing compassionate care to patients with diverse needs.
Requirements:
- 1-year of Respiratory Therapist in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (RRT, NICU)
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- Epic knowledge
